2022年8月31日，南方医科大学珠江医院检验医学部周宏伟团队在Cell旗下的子刊Cell Host & Microbe在线发表题为Gut microbial DL-endopeptidase protects Crohn’s disease via NOD2 pathway的研究论文，该文揭示了一种新的肠道菌群紊乱促进克罗恩病进展的新机制，为该疾病的治疗以及相关益生菌功能开发提供了新线索。

自去年11月份被发现以来，SARS-CoV-2 超级毒株奥密克戎（Omicron）迅速在全球传播并逐步取代了先前的受关注突变体（Variants of Concern, VOCs），该毒株在Spike蛋白中有30多个突变，使其能够逃避多数治疗性中和抗体以及一些疫苗的免疫疫。因此，开发针对Omicron的强效中和抗体，具有重要临床意义。
