童村，医学家、微生物学家。早年从事医学临床、教学和微生物学研究工作，后来致力于抗生素研究。在５０年代我国工业基础较薄弱的情况 下，他主持领导青霉素研究工作，在较短时间内实现青霉素工业化生产，奠定了我国抗生素事业的基础，是我国抗生素事业的先驱者。

魏曦，医学微生物学家。他对我国生物制品事业的创建与发展做出了重要贡献。在他的科学生涯中，主要集中于人兽共患病——立克次体病及 钩端螺旋体病的病原学和流行病学的研究。他还是我国微生态学的奠基人，培养了大批人才，提出了菌群调整疗法治疗菌群失调症并获得良好效果。
