近日，澳洲大学联盟在向联邦政府《身处亚洲世纪的澳大利亚》白皮书提交一份政策建议，建议中分析了身处亚洲世纪的澳大利亚高等教育面临的挑战和机遇。
英国“教育、孩童服务与技能标准署”（Ofsted）于刚（2011年11月）发行的《2010/11年度视导报告书》中指出，英国有近800所的学校或教育机构在其表现上是持续地下降或是仅仅维持在“令人满意”的标准、无任何进步的迹象。同时，约有41%的受评鉴学校与教育机构的教学质量是缺乏提升的。这些证据呈现持续缺乏进步的学校已成为英国教育当局首要的关注对象。
