针对GPS接收机观测卫星数不足4颗条件下的GPS/SINS数据融合问题，对目前常见的解决方法进行了综述，分析了现有方法的优缺点，并提出了一种新的算法以克服现有算法不足，该算法根据可见卫星的伪距/伪距率信息，利用几何关系，将惯导误差在观测方向的投影消除，仅残留部分不可观测的误差，将误差修正到理论上的最小值。该方法实现过程简洁，性能和可靠性良好，适合工程化应用。
