近日，中国、美国、日本和匈牙利等国家的科学家合作开展了恒星中子源反应13C(α,n)16O天体能区截面的直接测量工作，得到了该反应目前最精确的反应率数据。该研究澄清了此前国际实验数据间数倍的分歧，对于理解宇宙超铁元素的起源及丰度问题具有重要意义，相关成果于2022年9月23日在《物理评论快报》上发表。
