点云数据的海量性一直是制约点云数据处理方法的重要因素。为了寻找一种高效空间索引方法来管理海量地面点云数据，笔者通过分析LiDAR地面点云的特点，提出了一种基于平面直角坐标网和四叉树的二维点云数据组织方法——坐标网—四叉树联合准则法。实验证明，将规则网格与四叉树的方法相结合，较大程度的提高了点云数据组织与索引的效率。但是，格网间距大小的设定，还没有定量的标准，需要在以后实践中进一步进行研究总结。
