社会发展到今天,无论是从科学发展的角度,还是从人类思维的角度来看,都已经发生了太大的变化,.因此艺术在反传统的道路上发展也在情理之中。后现代艺术对不确定性,异质性,片段性,甚至怪诞性充满了热情,他们认为社会是一个有符号语言构成的虚拟的社会,这种观念使整个社会成为一个巨大的虚构的艺术品.审美和精神层面不发生关系,人在消费中摧毁,浪费生命,从而丧失了洞察真相的能力.

波普艺术的出现依赖于工业革命带来的富裕的社会物质财富,在艺术表现方面走出了现代主义绘画的艺术创作,将日常生活融入艺术,与消费主义、商业主义紧密相连,造就新的艺术形式,在题材选择、创作手段等方面都有很大创新,具有反传统的思想意识和审美趣味,运用大众传媒手段,以一种新的艺术形式来抹平艺术与生活的区别,自由的反映客观现实。
通过阐释卢卡契《审美特性》一书中,活跃而进步的创作倾向,总把审美创造的伟大社会作用放在首位;审美创造内涵的无限丰富性,决定审美创造陶冶作用普遍性和多义性;作家、艺术家应该是人类“灵魂的工程师”的口号,剥夺审美创造内涵的无限丰富性和普遍性,论述了审美创造效果的丧失与发挥。
