北京现代音乐研修学院表演艺术研究所依托本院表演系与流行演唱系音乐剧专业的师资力量开展学术研究活动。主要研究将侧重与教材使用方向即表演艺术应用学。其理念源于“艺术教育与社会接轨、与市场接轨、与时代接轨、与国际接轨”的校训。研究所研究课题即是这一方向所决定的，研究成果将以实用教材的形式来呈现给全院乃至全社会的艺术教育事业。
