郑通涛，男，博士研究生，教授。早年从厦门大学获文学硕士学位，先后从澳大利亚国防学院和澳大利亚国立大学获得硕士和博士学位。在国外的18年先后任教于澳大利亚国立大学、新加坡国立大学、澳大利亚堪培拉大学、澳大利亚国防学院和澳大利亚塔斯马尼亚大学。现任厦门大学海外教育学院/国际学院院长。研究方向：对外汉语教学、社会语言学、话语分析。先后发表多篇著作与论文。
