使用随机粒子群算法拟合土壤水分特征曲线并以此求解出Van Genuchten方程参数。通过算例与其他优化算法比较，结果表明：随机粒子群算法具有运算速度快，编程简单，初值无关性，全局收敛和计算精度高等优点，可以作为计算Van Genuchten方程参数的新方法。

土壤水分参数对于定量预报非饱和水流运动是非常重要的，该文运用阻尼最小二乘法，拟合了描述土壤水分特征曲线的Van Genuchten方程参数，同时与非线性单纯性法拟合结果进行了比较，结果表明：该方法拟合精度较高，可以作为计算Van Genuchten方程参数的一种方法。此外，用VB语言编写算法程序，便于对输入数据进行修改。
